Proyecto SUS-TER quedará vivo en un mural de una calle de la ciudad de Manizales, departamento de Caldas gracias a Proyecto SUS-TER quedará vivo en un #mural de una calle de la ciudad de Manizales, departamento de #Caldas gracias a Nicolás Beltrán (estudiante de Maestría en Artes Plásticas), Jaider García (es artista plástico; dibujante, grabador y pintor, Junior Haminton (tatuador, artista.), Camilo Urrea (artista) y Selene Arango (artista y estudiante de Artes Plásticas).

Para el mural SUS-TER, el colectivo se inspiró en el concepto de HACER DEL TERRITORIO EL AULA, lo que resuena profundamente con la manera en la que estos artistas inciden en la urbe, trascendiendo los muros de la universidad y creando su obra en espacios no convencionales donde se conectan e interactúan de otras formas con la comunidad.

Apelando al simbolismo territorial, a la sostenibilidad, la inclusión y el intercambio de saberes culturales, se incluyeron en el mural: el pájaro barranquero, alarde a la biodiversidad en Colombia; un niño de rasgos indígenas como esperanza de futuro y de conocimiento ancestral; signos precolombinos, mayas, aztecas; el diente de león asociado a la identidad visual del proyecto y a los pasos que germinan; el café como fruto que interconecta a los países productores (Costa Rica, México y Colombia). con los consumidores (Italia, España)” (Fuente: Pinta Resiste con Diversidad Conectada – Connecting Diversity.

Young Artists and SUS-TER, making the territory our classroom.

For the SUS-TER mural, the collective was inspired by the concept of MAKING THE TERRITORY OUR CLASSROOM, which resonates deeply with the way in which these artists influence the city, transcending the walls of the university and creating their work in unconventional spaces where they connect and interact in other ways with the community.

Appealing to territorial symbolism, sustainability, inclusion and the exchange of cultural knowledge, the following components were included in the mural: the ravine bird, a tribute to biodiversity in Colombia; a child with indigenous features as hope for the future and ancestral knowledge; pre-Columbian, Mayan and Aztec signs; the dandelion associated with the visual identity of the project and the steps that germinate; coffee as a fruit that interconnects the producing countries (Costa Rica, Mexico and Colombia) with the consumers (Italy, Spain)” (Source: Pinta Resiste with Diversidad Conectada – Connecting Diversity.
